Last Saturday was our reunion with our MoneyTree Ambassadors. Not really all but it was worth it. Believe me. I had a heck lot of fun that day like never before. Seriously I cant stress further the fact that the coziness, conduciveness of the office and that it is filled with positive people. You can’t expect more than that here in Singapore.School? Right…

There were a few lessons to be learned from the Cashflow Game that was held for just about an hour. Despite the very short duration of gameplay, we managed to experience the rat race that adults are actually in today, now, at this very moment. I have to give my respect for one person, Zhong En, that managed to get out of the rat race at the moment I was still downsized.

First lesson is, seize every opportunity that is right in front of you. Be it acquisition of companies, buying of stocks, real estate and even mutual bonds. If it’s a good opportunity, seize it! What are you waiting for?

Your friends, network with them. Competitions, make the best out of them. Studies, secure yourself in a good school filled with even more positive people to benefit you too. Ultimately, be the best you can be. Be as dynamic you can be. Can’t do that? Try forcing it

I hope this will be a good call for other MoneyTree-ers to join us. We may decide on a few tiers of membership and may even have an intake for the public! This club will grow.

Wow, the June Holidays sure do pass as quick as breeeeze lightning!!! Man, it was as though the last day at school was just yesterday… And this coming Monday it’s already school?!?!? This is tough… Let’s take 1 minute of silence to respect all Singapore students, particularly generation Y-ired, for their capability of handling this caliber of workload… I feel for you guys when adults always force us to study!!! Haha…

Guess what, we will be having a Cashflow 101 Game this Saturday. Dunno what’s that? Just go to our tags section and click Cashflow and wah la! I’ve described to you whatever you needa know, well the basic stuffs. I’m not the guru here! This Saturday, if it goes as plan, will allow us all Ambassadors to gather together and just reunite as one… Ya ya… Sounds cliche etc.,

But hey, we won’t build a rich empire of teenagers if we don’t structure it well from the start right? That’s where everyone comes into play. As I said, you guys are living testimonies of MoneyTree. Not that I’m telling you to bow down to MoneyTree but if you did not realize, it has actually developed you guys!! How touching… I developed myself too… Don’t believe you ask Shazwi.

The game on Saturday will be held at our MoneyTree office near Bugis MRT. It’s actually at Rochor Road and it’s on level 3 and will be held at 7pm SHARP. Come on guys, seriously, don’t waste your money, we are here to develop more of you. The more you play this game, the richer you get. I don’t care what you think about that sentence, but I urge you to come.

Commitment means to duty or pledge to something or someone

Commitment is a very big word in this world. For those of you who do not know what’s commitment, let me explain in the simplest of terms. If you have a commitment towards something, it means you have decided straight in your mind to fulfill that commitment. For example, if you are committed to achieve your As in your academic grades, no matter what, you do your best, whatever it takes, sleepless nights, mugging, etc. just to get that grades.

When your friend is committed to being your friend, that does not necessarily mean that he has to be there forever with you in times of good or bad. However, that does not necessarily mean your friend can ignore you totally. Imagine you promised your friend things like meeting him up to catch a movie or maybe inviting you to his/her birthday party and you did not do any of those. Guess what? That other party will be either :

1) saying bad things about you

-or-

2) breaking the relationship

-or-

3) just screw you up real bad

These are the few obstacles in life you gotta learn to overcome to break through that tough, thick, strong, brick-like barrier to succeed. Whether in school or business, this applies strictly as this is important. Commitment includes things like human relations. So if you are now saying to yourself, ” Oh yes, now I remember all the things I neglected… ” Then you got a whole work to do. Haha. Do have fun because this are the few bumps in your life, you can bomb it, step over it, use a tank over it and anything, as long as you eliminate this, your path will be clear.

Hey MoneyTree-ers and potential A-Clubbers,

It’s been AWHILE since we last saw each other, if we really did and memories are so hard to wipe away, especially when they are fond memories that remind you of the fun you had and the laughter you spent when you were with us. We have shared the pleasure of opening up to new ideas around us, and thus retained a good and valuable lesson that we will abide by for the rest of our lives. For me, I missed the hours and hours of receiving priceless information from Michael and of course, the eating and chatting with all my fellow friends.

Grace, Alfred, Michelle, Joseph, Shafeeqah, Diana, Christabel, Ashraf, Karthik, Abishek, Jackson, and the A-List just goes on. These are the pool of people that will become entrepreneurs in the global stage, outshining peers that are way older than them, the group that will be on the Forbes List, have ludicrously high net worths and of course a very high Financial Quotient. One in this group of people, for all you know, may be the next richest guy in the world. That I am not saying in the 60s. With markets like China and India opening up, that number may eventually shoot up to the 70s of billions in net worth. It will never be a surprise when we look back and we know that our school teachers were not the one who shaped us, the school did not shape us, but MoneyTree. One way or another, be it the lessons taught in the camp, the real-life experience after it or even the people we meet after that, you will benefit from MoneyTree as it’s simply the key to open the gate to ultimately Financial Freedom.

Let me put this straight, being a MoneyTree graduate is never enough, it’s like being a Harvard graduate and then throwing it away. Now the question is, will it be worth it? Will just attending the MoneyTree camp, knowing that you have gained some financial knowledge worthed that money you spent to get enrolled? Seriously, let’s face it, it’s not. It’s never enough. The next question would be ” So Shazwi, what do you say I do next? ” They say its easier said than done. I disagree with that, as all of us here are equipped with the essential skills and knowledge to actually pull this one flat. Now we get to say its easier said and done.

Let’s put some of here in the limelight. One person I know in MoneyTree, despite her busy schedule and stressful year, she is making the effort to brainstorm business ideas and will be proposing to us very very soon. Another one I know, is actually thinking of a green idea that may eventually shape Singapore to be a greener and cooler city. These are the people who will be the stepping stones for all of you as I believe all of us can do it.

That is why the MoneyTree Ambassadar Club is being set up. It is set up to mainly allow MoneyTree graduates to network further, brainstorm our own ideas, and also to have fun. That’s simply it. You name it, we’ll do it. Barbeque at East Coast Park, Cashflow 101 Boardgame, Cycling, House Crashing, and more. Right now, we are on the verge of receiving even more MoneyTree students and I sincerely invite all of you to join me as we embark on a journey to enrich both our mental and financial minds. This can never be boring. For those of you who have not visited our MoneyTree office at Bugis, believe me, it’s very conducive if we have the whole family together. I do not care if you are the student who kept quiet in our very first camp or you were the noisiest in our last camp, everyone is included in this prestigious club, which I will be planning together with you guys, to turn it into a fully flexed functional company. As I said, I want to use all my experience from MoneyTree to shape this up into a trully ‘Berkshire Hathaway’, and this company will eventually be an investment firm, having a good sum of capital which enables us to go annual report shopping!

For Saturday….

Guess what, we have a MoneyTree free trial on Saturday… And I’ve been thinking of bringing all of you guys back to have a small gathering maybe chit-chat or even hang out somewhere… Bugis has lots of stuffs to check out if you did not know… Or or or… maybe we could have one game of Cashflow 101, believe me, it ain’t a game!!! More like a souped-up hardcore financial key to ignite our future thing…

So, we’ll be expecting a lot of new MoneyTree-ers this coming Saturday cos I’ve been to the World Book Fair and man it’s nice looking at the faces of children who got the ‘free’ tickets to the free trial… Haha… Although there were some kids who were acting as though they were high on chocolate and candy, others were up for it… After exciting them on how they could become someone like Bill Gates, it’s never difficult to ask them to take some time to attend our class… And mind you, we CAN make people that rich… AND guess what, the next generation of  “Bill Gates” will come from Asia…Don’t bother even thinking of that position cos Ill snatch it from you!!! Hahahahahaha… ( Right… All of us have a shot ok…)

ASIA?!?!?!? You asked… Yep Asia…. I don’t see why it is so surprising… Even the ‘father’ of the Internet, Vice-President and Chief Internet Evangelist of Google, Dr. Vint Cerf said that soon the online world will adapt to Asia’s behavior… Yep… Right now, don’t you realize that we are just so westernized??? It’s time for our turn isn’t it??? Don’t bother even thinking of that position cos Ill snatch it from you!!! Hahahahahaha….
